US DoD Outline Need For New VTOL Capability

Flightglobal has released an article outlining that the US Department of Defence is commencing a capability based assessment of VTOL technologies. It’s mandate is to investigate alternative VTOL technologies that are safer in vertical flight mode and will be able to eventually replace the current helicopter fleet.
