Computational Fluid Dynamics

Our CFD expertise is a pivotal element in the development of Entecho’s flight technology. We use state-of-the-art CFD software to simulate and evaluate our niche products and, combined with high performance parallel computing, this provides excellent turnaround times for CFD generated solutions. Our data is continually validated against experimental and theoretical data to ensure utmost confidence in the results.

CFD is the key to design optimisation as it reduces cycle times and allows a much faster design-to-production stage. Ultimately it not only reduces manufacturing costs, but it also provides us with in-depth detailed knowledge of fluid behaviour.

Entecho engineers have developed a highly sophisticated CFD process which gives us the capability of a fully automated CFD server running over 24 hours. This has been achieved by the development of in-house written code which has automated much of the CFD process and consequently enables CFD to be used as efficiently as possible. Data is generated on an impressive scale, modelling multiple scenarios. This then allows informed decisions to be made at each design phase.


Highly advanced CFD solutions are required for Entecho’s hallmark aerodynamic package of annular wings, stator and rotor blades, and active skirt. We continue to break new ground with our lifting technology, and we are fully committed to pushing the limits of CFD software and methods so that we remain at the forefront of this new and exciting technology.
