Computer Aided Design

A detailed 3D model of each Entecho craft has been created using CAD (computer aided design) software. These models include all the individual components necessary for flight and are analysed with FEA (finite element analysis) and CFD (computation fluid dynamics) software for their structural and aerodynamic characteristics respectively. Solid modelling of the entire Entecho craft allows for compact integration of components which results in lighter structures and larger load spaces.

An anthropomorphic model of a pilot has also been generated to validate all ergonomic aspects of the design across the range of likely human dimensions. Designing the craft around the pilot has allowed us to reduce its overall size without compromising comfort and functionality.
